Welcome to Analogical Photos, a Hong Kong-based photography studio that focuses on creating timeless portraits.

I'm Huan Liu, the photographer behind the studio. Having worked and studied in many cities around the world allows me to bring a unique blend of interests and experiences to my portraiture work, including my background in analytic philosophy and art history.

At Analogical Photos, I strive to create portraits that capture not only a person's appearance but also their unique character and spirit. I believe that everyone is beautiful in their own way, and it's my job to bring that beauty to light through my lens. That's why I always take my time with each client and never rush the process, getting to know them personally to ensure that the final result truly represents who they are.

To produce my work, I utilize both digital and traditional film processes, allowing me to choose the best tool for each project and bring my clients the highest quality portraits. My style is informed by that of the master portrait painters and photographers of a much older generation, whose style is truly sincere and timeless. I believe that a good portrait should never apologize nor idolize the subject and that only sincerity can bring dignity and timelessness into a portrait.

The portraits I create have a versatility that makes them suitable for both business and personal purposes. My clients have used their portraits for everything from professional headshots to cherished family keepsakes.
